Does the Law Have Special Requirements for Lawsuits involving Infants?
When an infant brings a lawsuit through his or her parent or guardian and the case is going to be settled, the court has special requirements.
An Infant Compromise Order must be submitted to the court for signing.
The judge must meet the injured child in person with the parent or guardian before signing off on the settlement.
